Using Divvie.
Effective August 21, 2026 · Early access
These early-access terms describe the basic rules for using Divvie. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and understand that the product is still being tested and improved.
What Divvie does
Divvie helps groups organize a shared receipt, assign items, calculate individual shares, and coordinate reimbursement. Receipt extraction and calculations are tools for convenience; users should review the bill before paying.
Divvie is not a bank or payment processor
Divvie does not hold or transfer money. Payment options open third-party services such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Apple Cash. Any actual payment is between users and the third-party payment service, subject to that service’s terms.
Your responsibilities
- Review receipt data and final amounts before sending money.
- Use accurate names and payment details, especially when you are the person receiving reimbursements.
- Only upload receipts and information you are allowed to use.
- Do not use Divvie for fraud, harassment, unlawful transactions, spam, or attempts to interfere with the service.
Accounts and shared bills
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for invite links you share. A bill invite link can allow other people with the link to access that bill, so share bill links only with the intended group.
Early-access availability
Features may change, break, be removed, or be temporarily unavailable. Divvie may update limits, supported payment handoffs, account features, and infrastructure as the product develops.
No guarantee of receipt accuracy
AI receipt extraction can make mistakes. Divvie flags uncertain lines when possible and provides editing controls, but the group remains responsible for checking the receipt and confirming the split.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Divvie moves from early access toward a broader launch. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
